Pattan, August 01 (KNO) : Scores of students of Tilgam village in Pattan area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district Thursday staged protest against Naib Tehsildar and his staff for allegedly misbehaving with a girl and making unnecessary delay in issuing the income certificate.  Students told KNO that they require income certificate from Naib Tehsildar Tilgam to avail benefits of scholarship. However, Naib Tehsildar is making unnecessary delay in issuing the certificate, they alleged. The female student approached Naib Tehsildar Office Tilgam for income certificate and according to her the clerk misbehaved with her. "We are running pillar and post from last 15 days. Naib Tehsildar is making unnecessary delay in issuing the certificate,” one of the student said. After the incident, students gathered outside Tehsildar Office Pattan and staged protests against the concerned Naib Tehsildar and the clerk for alleged misbehaviour with the girl student. Tehsildar Pattan Sheik Salhudin assured students that stern action will be taken against the accused if found guilty.(KNO)
